I had the exact same problem. I probably put to much weight on the door when I tried to light the oven. I found the springs online and replaced both of them and it works great now.

I had the sme problem and was at the plant getting some warranty work done and mentioned it to the guys. The latch/taps/springs are recessed too far and dont allow the door to swing up enough. All that they did was stick a screw across the lower latches and then closed the door and applied enough presure to allow the screw (this could be screwdriver blade) to extend and pull out the latch/tabs/springs. Voila the door closed perfectly afterwards. it appears to be a regular problem.

OK, we think we fixed it. We completely took apart the door. One end of the long part of the hinge on the inside was bent. My husband straightened it and we put it back together. The door shut!

Getting excited. We take our first trip in 2 weeks. Not sure where we are going yet. Still looking at options.
