Oven pilot goes out even even burner is on.

We bought our unit new two months ago. It has a suburban stove/oven. My wife has had trouble with the oven since we got it. The oven would turn off on it's own while baking. This weekend we were out camping and I managed to see it in action. The pilot light is popping off and on with an audible sound even while the main burner of the oven is lit. I am thinking the thermocouple is faulty. The oven reaches the correct temp and tries to cut back to the pilot light but the light is out. We have purged the propane lines by running the furnace and the stove top burners. We have tried different propane tanks. All other propane appliances work fine. Any ideas?

Misadjusted or bad thermocouple causing gas valve to close. Be sure the tip of the thermocouple is in the path of the pilot light and is not charred or sotted up. When the thermocouple does not sense the flame of the pilot, it will close the gas valve even if the stove is on.

I had similar experience with oven in our 2010 TT. I replaced the pilot and thermocouple assembly based on recommendation of RV dealer. They said it was common problem and it may very well be. However it didn’t help. I still had pilot go out even with burner on. I replaced the regulator (dual auto switching regulator) and oven worked ok after that. Maybe a combination of replacing both made it work??? Not sure. Everything else worked fine with old regulator except the oven. That was on a 2010 TT in 2015. I also read there is supposed to be an adjustment on the oven control valve but didn’t see it on mine.

Ditto for us on our 2010 sob. One of the reasons we bought that hybrid was it came with an oven and not just stove top. But could never get it to stay on. Under warrantee it went back to the dealer 4 times for it. And they replaced the thermo coupler and rail. Never could get it to stay on. Just gave up on it. The Roo we bought never had the issue (same oven).

I had the same problem. Pilot would to out after 5 minutes or so. Thermocouple did not fix it. I had to have the manifold assembly replaced. Mine is a 2010 Rockwood Roo. This is the model # of my oven: SRNA3SBSE.

I don't care much for our oven. It's too small, you can't reliably set a temperature and it doesn't cook evenly.

I had a Mini Lite that had same issue, the orifice for the gas was not large enough, had it repaired under warranty. Found the issue by searching on web. I longer have that TT, now have Windjammer, and first thing I asked them to do was run oven for more than 10 min.
hope this helps

might be as easy as a spider web in the gas line near the pilot ( try blowing it out with hi-pressure source) or maybe stick a straightened out paper clip and wiggle it around... or take an ice pick and open up the pilot flame hole just a bit to get it to put out a little larger flame for more heat for the thermo-couple to stay on...

I would try these two easy things first before going further...

a trick for the uneven heating and temp control is to get some unglazed floor tiles, 8 inch, 12 or 16 inch sizes and completely cover the floor and/or rack with them and pre-heat the oven to even out the temp...

bake some pizza directly on the tiles with a sprinkle of cornmeal under the pie to keep it from sticking too much... I have a 16 inch square tile in the oven for just this purpose

That is a great idea! We actually got a stone platter and we get the same results! Ours cost more I'm sure! Lol!

An air bake cookie sheet is much lighter and it won't break if you drop it!

adding thermal mass and gradual heat release/absorption into a thermally messy oven is where we started with this... the offshoot of this is a ceramic brick pizza oven...

You could use an oven thermometer to check temp ???

Have had this problem a couple of times on both fridge and oven. If a good cleaning didn't fix it, I found that bending the brackets so the thermocouple was closer to the flame front often fixed the problem.

Update, after spending much time today at the dealership today. They replaced the gas control valve, no luck. It wound up being the pilot assembly.
