Question Oven won't light (SOLVED)

At the campground, everything working properly but the oven. Wouldn't light. We were plugged into shore power, had plenty of propane, top stove burners worked. I turned the oven on, wouldn't light, no propane noise or smell. What am I missing?

Normally pilot light ignition.

Look on your oven knob it will say pilot light.
Open door and get flashlight and locate pilot light arrangement all the way on bottom under rack.
Turn knob to pilot light and push in. Then get stick lighter and light pilot light.
Keep holding knob in for about 10 seconds then release. Pilot light should stay lit.
Then turn on oven.

Have you problems lighting the oven before? If you are new to this there are a couple of tricks to try if you have a pilot light oven.

I will wait and hold the button in for about 20 seconds after I see the little red glow before turning the knob to a temp setting. I have to be in the right position to even see if there's a glow or not. With a little practice and a flashlight it becomes easier to do.

If a pilot such as with the Suburban oven in my trailer than the knob will say pilot or pilot on or something like that (I'm not at my trailer and can't check).

To light the pilot light in the oven ...

Turn knob to the pilot position and push in and hold knob.

Immediately light pilot with a match. Hold knob in at least 5 to 7 seconds for this allows gas to flow to pilot and to heat thermocouple.

Release knob, pilot should stay on.

If the oven has not been operated for a long period of time, a longer waiting period for ignition of the pilot may be due to air in the pilot and gas lines.

Good to bleed the lines through the stove top first.

your dealer should have shown you and told you how to light the oven.
i doubt it has electronic ignition but you don't have what RV you own or what brand/model oven, posted.

if it does not light with match or disposable lighter while holding oven control in pilot position in. there is a possible condition of blocked orfice. they are very small.
