Puddle in Refrigerator

We've had this TT for just about a year now. Off and on there has been a puddle of water under the vegetable crispers. In a roundabout way, it was coming from the drip tray beneath the cooling fins. I thought the tray was overflowing because I didn't dump it out. I finally noticed the tray was supposed to drain itself through a hose that goes out the back of the fridge! Apparently it was clogged.
So...I tried snaking out the line with a piece of weed whacker string. It went right in there - with no resistance - yet it stayed clogged?
Next, I went outside, opened up the access door and looked for the drain tube. I couldn't find it?
So I looked it up in the manual, and this is what was supposed to be there:

Armed with that knowledge, I took a second look. Well, well, what did I find tucked way up on the left hand side - the drain tube! It was all coiled up and hidden away. I was able to pull out about two feet of it and found the end of it had tape over the drain holes! Water couldn't drain out of it! And, if it did, it would have drained right onto the wooden floor inside the trailer. D'oh!

The installer never finished the job!

So, now that the drain line was open, I ran it out to the vent on the access door. I'll have to check on it this week to see how well it drains now.

Glad you found the solution. Hopefully, you won't have a puddle in the fridge.
When we got our rig, it was supposed to have a drain tube for the fridge poking out through the vent which I saw on brochure pictures. Apparently someone thought it was unsightly and poked it back through the vent. Luckily we found the hose and poked it back through the vent or we would have had water on the floor in the rig.
Sloppy work. Let us know if you've solved the problem.

If you look on the inside of the vent you may find a fitting molded into it that you can push the drain hose onto. That keeps it in place over a drain hole in the vent. It drains without sticking out through the vent.

I checked for that fitting today, but didn't see one. So, I used a wire tie to hold the drain hose in place. It sits nicely on the opening in the vent. Plus, it must be working because my shirt got wet when I took the vent cover off! LOL
