quick question on Dometic fridge running on LP

Im out dry camping first time this year. Im noticing the fridge burner flame going on and off is this normal? Its been running a few days seems to be staying cold just never noticed my last 2 campers fridge burner cycling like the water heater does. Fridge is not nearly as loud as the water heater im putting my ear up to the plastic vent grill to listen.

Quite normal for it to cycle.

Always helps to understand the reasons rather than just the facts (IMHO)...

These are absorption cycle refrigerators. The flame (or the electric heating element) actually drives the coolant cycle, which uses a different principle from your household freon-based, compressor-driven cycle. However, the heat source is cycled just like a compressor to start and stop the cycle as the thermostat requires to regulate the temperature.
