Radio/ DVD player

Hi,
it looks like our DVD player is bad. It's radio and DVD player combo.
Radio works fine just the picture is bad.
Did anybody replaced DVD player and what did you use?
It's nice to have it for rainy days, like today.

Thanks

Many folks have replaced combo units. do an internet search for radio/dvd they all operate about the same the size of the will make a difference so you will need to measure yours. Have you tried contacting the Mfg of the unit?

The words that describe the quality of the radio/dvd player that came with my TT can't be used on this forum.

For simplicity I just bought an inexpensive dvd player and small sound bar. Dvd player connects to TV via HDMI cable and soundbar to output of TV. Now I only turn the OE sound system on for the rare occasion I want to listen to the radio.

Since the whole system is just a glorified click radio, sound wise, replacing it would involve not just replacing the head unit but all speakers as well.

Check out options Crutchfield has for a good car stereo in your budget. They have excellent customer service to help along the way.

In our previous rig it came with unit that could provide sound in three zones (living room, bedroom and outside), had functions for the radio, cd, dvd (not BluRay), usb in the front, and Bluetooth. I researched a unit to play BluRay and improve the sound and there really isn’t any. Instead, I left it intact for the radio function, put in a Sony BluRay and Bose Soundbar. The dogs listened to the radio when we were gone than we did when camping.

Many stock radio/CD players are real junk. The one on my Rockwood was.
I just replaced mine with a Pioneer set up and the difference is noticeable.
