A Forest River what? Wildwood, Salem, PrimeTime?
Also, what brand of refrigerator? Norcold, Dometic, etc.?

Forest River makes around 100 different brands, that are equipped with a variety of fridge makes and model numbers. Brand and model number of RV helps way more than 2006 Forest River. And as previously said, make and model number of fridge is even more helpful.

What Mr. Dan said and since it's probably an absorption 'fridge, is it operating on AC, 12 volt DC, or propane? Ours is a Dometic 3-way, so it's supposed to work on all three, however, I remember accidentally setting it to 12 volt DC and a similar light was flashing.

An interruption of shore power or a battery issue
Do you have a battery charge indicator
Does your shore power protection include an error code display
Have you tried turning it off and on

You have to start with the basics...
Were you using the refrigerator on 120v shore power or propane and battery?
If shore power... do other 120v items work?

If on propane/battery, is your battery power OK?
Is your propane tank full or have enough propane in it?

I have same model fridge, with similar problem

Mine's an RM2652A, from 2007. The fridge will flash the check light. When I have the door open and I press the ON button, the inside light will go on for a few seconds, then go off. I hear a click like the propane flame piezo trying to light, then the check light starts flashing. Since fridge power will eventually reset, I think I can rule out fuses.

I've taken the flame shroud off and cleaned up the thermocouple. It had a little carbon on it, but nothing major. I got it to light once this fall with the shroud off, but with the shroud on, it's a non-starter.

I've had the electric heater elements burn out in a previous RV fridge, but it ran ok on propane. From what I've gleaned from other threads, the lower back main module might be the problem. I think Dinosaur makes a good replacement board, but I don't like just throwing $100 parts at the problem.

There are a couple of good Dometic troubleshooting guides out on the internet I downloaded. I checked my electric heater element resistance and got 42 ohms, which is within spec (44 ohms). The power input was 13.2 V DC (fridge shuts off at 9.6 V). Shore power at the fridge plug was 122 V AC. 5A and 3A fuses were good on the board, but I knew that from this summer. I've got a Dinosaur board coming from AdventureRV. The Dinosaur board just looks better than the Hercules/Dometic board, based on my unscientific gut instinct.

New board did the trick

Got my new Dinosaur board, and popped it in on Saturday. Fridge works now. I haven't done any diagnostic work on the old board yet, but obviously something was wrong on it. I'll save the old 5A glass fuse off it before I chuck it. The 3A fuse on the new board is a blade style automotive fuse.
