Refrigerator HELP

I bought a used 2015 Cherokee Limited 3 weeks ago. That first weekend we took it to a campground right next door to the dealer lot....everything of course was working during the walk through and through our whole weekend...the fridge was cold and the freezer kept things frozen...

We go on our first real trip. We didn't turn the fridge on until we get there....after an hour it still wasn't getting cold. The light was green the whole time..we then switched it to gas and it never got cold either...is there some kind of reset switch we need to be using??

The fridge is a Norcold. It is back at the storage facility but I thik the model was N611 or something like that..

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I am unfamiliar with a reset switch. I can tell you that the refrigerators traditionally take a LONG time to actually get cold. Try putting your hand on the fins after a couple of hours and see if they're cold - that's usually my indicator that everything is working properly.

These refrigerators need at least 12 hours to cool down.
We turn ours on a day before leaving then fill it the night before we leave.
I suspect most do the same.
Others leave there's on 24/7 if going weekly.

My daughter has a Norcold in her Passport and had some issues.
We found it quite sensitive to being properly level, especially front to back.
And yes - give it plenty of time to get cold

The dealer had it on for a day or two before your walk through.
That's why it worked then.

An hour is not enough time to tell if it is going to get cold or not.
Most typically leave it on overnight before leaving home.

BTW, you can run it on propane while you travel.

If I could not plug in to shore power a day before our trip, I would run it on gas (propane) the night before and on the way to our destination. I fueled up before hooking up so I would not need to stop for fuel with it on. ALWAYS remember to shut it off if you stop for fuel.
