We have a wildcat by forest river. We got it out today Togo camping and refrigerator is not working. The new indicator lights are not coming on. It will not work on gas either. The is power going in according to the meter. Any idea what it could be?

You need 12 volts also for it to work. Do you have batteries charged? Battery disconnect? The brand and model of the refrigerator would also get a little better answers.

Thank you. It's a dometicRM2652. The battery seems charged. Lights on trailer worked with it. The inverter works and battery is charged. Power at plug and back but no power at top.

You may have blown a fuse in the mother board. It on the back side of the fridge on outside behind panel where drip line comes out. Mine quit working and I had blown a 1.5 amp fuse in the board. Quick run to auto parts store and bought extra fuses and fixed blown one. Hope this helps.

Light does not come on with gas. Both fuses are fine.

During our recent trip one day everything in our freezer thawed. Never happened again. I suspect the freezer was closed but not latched. (Solid click upon closing.) We had several times the refrigerator door flopped open when we moved even though we thought it was closed. We got in the habit of double checking for that 'click' upon closing before driving. Just a wild guess.

But, while I'm thinking of it...I found in the literature mention of a 'card' to use to hold the refrigerator door open when not in use. There is a little drawing. But I never found the 'card'. Any clue? Was it supposed to be with the instruction manual? Or attached somehow to the refrigerator?

Do you have a way to test that you have 12 volts to your fridge?

It should run on 11.9, i would be looking at the controls. is it possible the switch above the fridge is unplugged? they may have not plugged that in when they installed the fridge. Does the light work inside the fridge?

Pull off the front top panel and double check that the wire is plugged in to the board. And the small glass fuse on the control board checks out as good? If it is then the only other thing I can think of would be a bad board.

Would suspect a faulty sensor.

If your thermal fuse is opening up I would start by checking the temp of the burner and see if it should be opening or not. Make sure the burner is clean. If you can temp the thermal fuse and see what temp it is opening up that should give you your answer. If it is getting too hot and opening like it is supposed to then you might have to replace it. If it is opening when it is not too hot it could be a bad thermal fuse. Sorry could not be of more help maybe someone has better info than me.

Stop what you are doing & do this step 1st!!! Open your outside panel for the fridge. Look for the exhaust stack with is probably on the right side. Look for several wires going to the stack (probably red). In between the 2 wires is a small resetable circuit breaker. Push it with your finger & then go in and check to see if the interior light comes on when you open the door. If it does you have solved your problem. This is a common problem if the fridge is out of level & this circuit breaker prevents it from over heating & damaging the unit.
