Refrigerator problem

Have a Surveyor Legend 203RKLE. Refrigerator model Norcold N8VRM6. Most of the time we dry camp, we had full hook ups this time and refer would not work on shore power, only propane. It has previously worked on power and with generators. I checked incoming power plug in back of refrigerator, power was there. Checked breakers and nothing was tripped. Unless there is a hidden fuse somewhere I am stumped. Suggestions?

I don't have a norcold but a domestic and this sounds like a similar issue I've had. Mine was a blown 3/4 inch long glass fuse under a black plastic cover that I accessed from removing the outside vent cover. Hope yours is that easy.

Down load the manual and look at the circuit for the fuse location on the refrigerator. For whatever reason, the fuse may be blown or the AC heating element may be defective.

I just finished checking all breakers on the panel. I also checked the 110 volt outlet (external panel back of refrigerator) and the 3 fuses on the control panel, all good. Any good ideas how to troubleshoot that board? The refrigerator works perfectly with 12 volts and propane. I don’t want to buy a new control board if I don’t have to but I will if I have to. Thanks

You stated you have power at "the plug", next step continue up the chain and see if you have power at the next connection. If so keep working the connection chain. Also do a continuity test on the heating element if all pass you're left with the circuit board, pull it check for any obvious damage, burnt connections.
You'll find it, process of elimination, good luck.

You will need a schematic of the control box to adequately troubleshoot that part of the system. Available on line.

The one thing I haven’t checked is the heating element. Will do that tomorrow, I think they’re around 64 ohms each. If they look good I guess I’ll be buying a new control board. I looked it over when I checked the fuses and it looks good. I last ran it with my generator but without a surge suppressor, maybe that’s what took it out. Thanks for all suggestions.

Here’s a YouTube video that may help. He explains it very clearly.
