If yours is the same as my 220RBS, there are 2 screws underneath the shelf that hold it in. The picture isn't very good but I'm not going out to take another one.

That's the same stereo I have. The only two screws I see are under the stereo in a small block of wood I removed one and it didn't seem to help. Iquess I will remove both screws. Seems a bit ridiculous how hard it is to remove from cabinet. Thanks for your help do you know what brand that is.
It's a Connexx model SBL-32Z4. I'm not very impressed with it. It's been a couple years since I took it out but it seems like it didn't come right out, I wasn't sure how hard I should pull on it but didn't have to pull very hard.
