Replacing exhaust fan motor ?

This is the replacement..exact part number and markings from bad motor. Looks identical. I removed the old motor by detaching the wires from the motor connector blades, and will remove these and just reconnect existing wires. My dilema, I can not fidget the existing wires around without additional frame removal to see if they have this "component". Anyone know what it does?

It is a thermal switch that will turn the fan ON and OFF depending on the air temperature above the cooking surface.

Ah, OK.
The bad fan is actually in the bathroom exhaust, so they must be multi use items. In that case no issues eliminating it. Bathroom is on the simple on/off rocker switch.
Thank you Sir.
