Perhaps the best approach at the moment is to disconnect from shore power and use an ohm meter to measure continuity between neutral and ground Ö this should measure open (∞). You should, at the moment ignore the 12 VDC side of life as a GFCI tripping is an AC side issue. Given the current description you've provided, I suspect your ohm meter tracing of the refrigerator circuit neutral-to-ground will measure a short or something less than 15KΩ. Let me know.
Couldn't get to the refrigerator outlet. Its buried in the basement. Camping this weekend; refrigerator working flawlessly. I will check continuity of refrigerator when I can remove the basement pass through bulkhead.

As an aside, I ran into the storage unit manager today and he said that he has had multiple instances of GFCI trips. He has his electrician checking the storage unit circuits now.

As far as the DC side, I was just saying that if the refrigerator wouldn't run on my storage unit 110vac, I could run the inverter the night before a trip to cool the refrigerator.

Thanks and will report back as I can.

Happy Labor Day to all.
