Our first 5er was a rear kitchen unit but it had the rv fridge in it. The shelves moved in that unit also! What I found that worked were the spring loaded rods that RV dealers sell. These can be expanded or collapsed by twisting to fit the fridge and are inexpensive to purchase. I use various sizes for the fridge and kitchen cabinets to hold items in place while we travel! We have used them in our last three 5er's and never had any items move or fall out.
Hope this helps?
