Roo 23SS Genesis 2.0 (Concertone) Speaker Wiring

Picked up the 2012 Roo 2 weeks ago and the speaker wiring was done incorrectly at Forest River factory.

Over Dinette Speaker #1 was wired to Speaker Channel A RH+ and RH-
Over Dinette Speaker #2 was wired to Speaker Channel B RH+ and RH-

Outside speakers were connected correctly to Speaker Channel C RH+/- and LH +/1

I knew the wiring was wrong when I tried on the system the first time and realized that Over Dinette Speaker #1 was working on Channel A and #2 was working on Channel B.

I rewired the Over Dinette Speaker #2 to work off Channel A LH+ and LH- and the whole system sounds much better.

Overall we like our 23SS, but I am disappointed all the lack of attention to detail at the factory. It does not cost more money to do things the right way.

Next step is to put some foam insulation behind the dinette speakers.

Yea - I'm not sure why they split speakers A and B in my rig either. Considering that they are just a few feet apart anyway.

you're lucky that you don't have anything major.

modern quality control for any RV company, is pretty non-existent anymore.

2 out of the 3 sets of my speakers in my 2011 Palomino S195 were wired out of phase. I had terrible sound quality out of my concertone zx75 and after removing the zx75 and taking down the speakers I noticed they were wired wrong. After I fixed the wiring, it sounded better, but not great. I ended up shipping the zx75 back to Palomino under warranty and they sent me a new zx85 unit for repalcement. This unit sounds 100 times better and I'm loving the bluetooth link.

The Genesis 2.0 that I have in my 23SS looks the same as the Concertone ZX85. Yes, the bluetooth link works pretty good to play music off my iPhone.
