Roof radio antenna

I was wondering if anyone has one on their trailer and replaced it with a better one which that does not stick upwards? Does this antenna unscrew as I want to put a cover over my trailer

I am not referring to my wingman antenna, as that one uses a crank to fold down

The antenna base has a phillips head screw. Loosen and rotate antenna down. The antenna on my TT collides with the Winegard crankup antenna. They actually get interwined and cause the crank antenna to lock into an upward position and you have to separate the antennas to lower the Winegard. I have a 14 inch "rubber ducky" style antenna and base that I am about to install. Cost all of $22.00 shipped to me. Has a built-in amplifier. Amazon.com has some available. I do not anticipate any major reduction in signal strength. Time will tell. Beats climbing onto the roof to separate the antennas. You can also lower the stock radio antenna to avoid antenna interlocking!
