seiki tv's cable ready?

We have 2017 Coachmen Mirada with Seiki televisions. None of the tv's work connected to the cable, but do work with the antenna. I do know to turn off the booster when hooked to cable and have changed the TV to cable and channel searched. We talked to SEIKI and they tell us that the model TV's we have do not have the QAM tuner and are not cable ready, you need a cable box. Has anyone else experienced this problem and do you have any fix or suggestions?

We did in our 2015 364ts, the TV is simply no good for an RV. Contact forest river, our rep gave me a very generous allowance, off to Costco we went, and now have a Samsung smart TV in the bedroom. I boxed up the old TV and FR Rep send a shipping label (so no cost to me) and I scanned a copy of the receipt of the new TV emailed it in, and received a check to reimburse the expense of a new TV. My time and later, but I now have the TV that I want.
