Stabilizer motor getting 8 volts

Good morning,

I am wondering if anyone else has had my issue. My stabilizer motors are not working and only receiving 8 volts behind the switch. Less than 1v at the 30a inline fuse near the battery. I am plugged into shore power.

I have searched on here and read about the auto resetting fuses next to the switches. I have located them, but am wondering can these simply be bypassed? Seems like overkill since there already is an inline fuse?

I appreciate any input.

Only need one fuse.....I'd keep the resetable type and trash the replaceable one
As for low voltage, have you better than 12volts in the battery?

It was getting dark last night and didn't check the battery, I assume it is weak. Wouldn't being plugged into shore power override the battery?
I am going to test the battery today and try the motors with a fresh car battery.

Would the auto resetting fuse being bad cause a lower voltage? Essentially not grounding out???

Stab motors are 12 volt.....If converter isn't charging battery, assuming if you have a battery cut off switch and it's on, converter could be bad....
Charge the battery then check voltage in and out of fuse...
If fuse grounds out, it will pop!

I do suspect the battery is bad as it is the cheap, original Interstate battery from 2013.
Do you think a new battery could be the issue? Everything else on the camper works just fine-slides, tongue jack, etc. Just these cheap stabilizer jacks. I was hoping it was just the auto resetting fuse being shot.

The motors are actually new. I replaced them last month. I am thinking something with the wiring or that resettable fuse....
I am not electrician, but that is what I am hoping for.

A fuse is good or bad No 1/2 way voltage! The NEW motors May be the wrong ones! Youroo!!

13.6 volts on the battery. 8.8 volts where the line goes to the jack switch, so I cannot imagine the motors being the issue since they are not even receiving the correct amount of voltage.

I can in no way fathom how you could have 8v at the switch and 1v at the fuse that feeds it.
Something doesn't jive??

Great!
Someone with 12v electrical knowledge, a multimeter and 15 minutes of time should be able to tell you what's going on.

PSJ fuse was blown in the box. I had looked at it earlier and I was fine.
Have 13v at the switch but motor still isn't working, so now the switch must be bad. I really don't like these stabilizer jacks!

Jump the switch and see if the motor runs.
Easy test.

Now that you have 13v at the switch, what is the voltage at the motor?

Check your connections and grounds for corrosion and grime. Bad grounds can cause havoc with electrical. I have also had the crappy FR wire turn to dust inside the outer jacketing.

The cheap LCI jacks at the front and rear of the rig.
Found a blown fuse in the fuse box inside of the camper. I have 13v now. Just need new switches. These jack setups are made so poorly.
