Stove Igniter

I lit one of the burners on my stove while camping recently using the stove sparker and while I was doing so my wife, who was outside, told me that the under-awning LED rope light was flashing every time I hit the sparker. The lights were on at the time I tried to light the stove. Afterwards, we noted that 3 or 4 of the LED lights were burned out. I believe the stove igniter uses a high voltage arc between two electrodes to ignite the propane. Could this be a grounding issue with the trailer? What do you think?
