Stove Vent Closure

Well this should be a no brainer, Forest River Forester 2251 SLE 2015,How do I open the vent on the outside of the motor home.Two small plastic like clips on the bottom, do I pull down and lever with small screw driver?Just to be clear the stove hood fan vent.

A picture of the vent would help. There are a couple methods used to retain the vent flap. I believe to open the vent you have you push up on the "clips" with your thumbs and rotate them out. My vent has 2 small clips that you just rotate out of the way of the vent which would be different from yours.

You should just be able to push up on the 2 clips to open the vent. They can be stubborn.

X2 Push up and out of the way. Be sure to lock closed before traveling as the little flap can fly off while traveling.

Thanks , just as described, Mine was held down by a bit of caulk which ran along the bottom. some lube and your help on how the thing worked allowed me to open it without breaking a thing! I sure appreciate the help, you good people are a much needed resource to a new owner.
