Suburban Range Oven Thermostat Placement

I am a newbie to the forum and am not sure what I am doing. My question is, where does the oven thermostat probe install on the oven on a suburban range? I am replacing the entire manifold valve assy and the probe on my stove was just lying loose in the top of the stove burner compartment. Please help a newbie.
