Sunseeker 2250 - Cable TV Hookup Problem

Bought above RV a year ago and am trying to use the TV over cable for the first time. Can't figure out how to make it work. The TV is a Jensen 3212LED. The outside cable hookup is in the service compartment in the back, so no trouble there. Back of the TV only shows one hookup in use for under the heading of Antenna/RF. Under setup, I select Cable (opposed to Air) and it only finds 2-3 stations, sometimes none. When I select Air, I always find some. Read the manual several times and it provides no clue. Only thing I can think of is that the Antenna is automatically bypassed when a signal is detected from the outside cable, but there is no documentation at all that says that. Any ideas?

I just found out this weekend that you need to make sure the switch on the 12v power plug plate is shut off. We stayed at a campground with cable TV so I hooked up the cable. The picture was terrible, like an old analog TV with a lot of snow. Then I noticed that the switch on the power plug plate was on. When I switched it off the TV was perfectly clear and I got all the cable channels. In my rig the power plug for the TV is inside the cabinet over the door. Here's a photo of what I'm referring to. The on/off switch is just under and to the right of the TV's 12v plug in the white plate, it's the little round black button. Try turning it off and see if your picture gets any better.

Is there a booster on the wall plate?? It would have a small button that pushes in and usually a green light comes on. If this button is pushed in, your booster is on and you only use that for off air channels. Make sure booster is off, (no light). Do another channel scan making sure your tv is set to cable before scanning.

Thanks, this is the issue

Thanks for the responses. This is in fact the problem. My power hookup, antenna, etc. for the TV is located in a tight little cabinet over the door and I had never noticed that the plate for the power and antenna had a little switch on it. You would have a hard time seeing it even if you knew it was there! This is not in any manual that forest River provides nor was it included in the PDI...

Thanks for the quick replies. Another mystery put to bed.
