SW6DE water heater questions

Hi all,

Have a Coachmen Apex Nano with the above w/h. I searched the forums to find answers to my initial questions about how to turn on LP vs electric, but that’s raised a couple more questions.

- What do you feel is better to use, LP or electric?
- Is there any advantage or any problems caused by having both set on? (Besides needing to remember to turn the electric off outside.)

Going on a “shake down” local camping trip Fri-Sun and have been gathering info for weeks. New to this whole camping thing.

If you’re at a full service campground, use the electric part to heat the water.
You’re paying the campground for the electricity....might as well use it.

Propane heats the water faster. It doesn’t use that much propane.....nowhere near as much as your furnace.

Use electric AND propane for the fastest heating of water.
Use both if you want to have back to back showers and ALMOST NOT run out of hot water.
