thermastat problems it reads Au E4

Only used our Salem Hemisphere 2013 one time got home plugged in and the air conditioner compressor/ and furnace was running, thermastat set to off. only way to stop it is to turn off breaker and pull furnace fuse. The thermastat is digital and reads AU E4 has anyone seen this?

No but does your digital thermostat have batteries that need to be replaced? We had a camper with a digital thermostat and nothing would work until we replaced batteries even though we had a display can't remember what it said now.
