My remote died. I'm not sure why because it has only been used twice. Installed new batteries and still nothing. Even tried Best Buy for a universal but nothing lists this TV. The manual stops at replace the batteries. Anyone else had this problem?
Not to belabor the obvious but I trust that there is power to the TV?

Test the remote to see whether it's the remote or the TV.
Point the remote at any type digital camera. Look thru the camera
display at the remote. Press a button on the remote. If the remote is
working you can see the flash in the camera screen.

Next step is the TV in warranty?? IF so call the mfg and tell them what you've told us.
You need a new remote. If you're out of warranty, you can likely find one online via google using your TV make and model number. Also the remote -might- have some
sort of model number on it but many do not.
