TV antenna gets weaker signal when I turn on lights

This weekend on our last camping trip in our 23ikss rockwood roo, I was setting up the antenna to get the over the air channels to watch the superbowl. I set it up 2 hours prior to the game and everything came in fine. Twenty minutes till the game starts I lose the signal to the channel the game is coming on. For an hour I continue to try to get the channel back with no luck and then it finally comes in perfectly. I then turn on one of the lights and the signal drops. I turn the light off and the channel comes back in perfect. WTF?!?! Anyone have any thoughts as to why the lights being turned on would make the tv signal drop from the antenna.

Convertor or battery low on charge....Can you check voltage in battery?
And terminals clean?
If OK, discharge battery a little with lights, using a meter, see if battery voltage rises when plugged in to shore power....

Even if I was on shore power, the battery would have effect the signal? I can not check the battery voltage now. I have already put the camper back at the storage lot.

Led lights can cause interference in tv signals, especially the cheaper made led units. Also there are probably multiple loose connections in the coax wiring for the tv in your camper. That was the main problem in my camper. After I went through and tightened connections my reception problems lessened considerably. The connections were loose at every wall plate, splitter, the amp and at the antenna. Be advised there are probably some connections in the ceiling where they have splitters that are hidden and hard to get at.

The LED light are the one's that came with the camper so I am going to assume that they are cheap factory crap. I have gone through and tightened the connections that are right behind the antenna booster but have not looked in every tight spot to see if there is a hidden splitter. I will have to trace and follow the wires to see if there is a loose connection.

Before digging into hidden wires being a problem, purchase a length of coax long enough to run direct from TV to antenna and see if the signal power increases while disconnected from the factory wire...

and as others have suggested try to isolate a specific LED light that may cause most or all of the interference... then purchase a better brand maybe from

LED lights have to have electronic drivers to provide them with the correct current and voltage for the LED array. These drivers may or may not cause interference with RF (TV) signals. Interference will always be worse around twilight.

I too suspect the led light & fixture.
In most coaches, the same lights are used all around...so you might want to try to eliminate the fault by:

1. Swapping "bulbs" with a different light.
2. Swapping the entire fixture with a different fixture.
3. while you have the fixture off...inspect for any close coax cable and push it away...enlarge hole a bit if you need to.
4. If none of that works...try using a conventional bulb in the fixture.

Good luck!
