TV picture cutting out

2017 sunseeker with an insignia television in the living room. The TV works fine when plugged into shore power or the generator is running however when running off the battery as soon as the voltage drops to around 13 volts the picture goes out. Sound still works.

Calls to Insignia just result in long hold times before you get cut off. Anybody know of a setting or something that would allow the TV to work on 12v like it claims too?

I have a display that shows the battery voltage. I have also read it at the power supply to the tv to confirm that its the same.

Its a 32 inch. I just ordered a 110 power supply for it. Lets see if it will run off my inverter.

TV picture cutting out

In our quirky, high tech world, interference or “cut outs” can come from weird sources.

I found that LED light fixtures can generate an RF signal that will interfere with the TV antenna pre-amp in your trailer. Sometimes, I have to turn off my LED ceiling lights to get my signal back.

Weirder things have happened 😁.

I know this doesn't fix your problem but I don't trust Insignia. It's Best Buy's "house" brand and I had two of them probably 15 years ago.

They were the old-school style (before flat screens) and both of them went bad within a few years.

One of them the entire screen was tinted green and on the other the entire screen tinted red. I've been using Samsung TVs almost exclusively since then with zero problems.

When I have shopped for TVs at Best Buy, the sales people have told me Insignia is a poor choice for a quality TV. Insignia is built for price, not quality. It would not surprise me that some RFs interferes with this cheap quality built TV.
