tv wiring problem

TV Wiring Problem: My TV is not clear, very snowy, when it’s on the cable at a Campground, unable to watch it. TV is sharp and clear on the antenna. At first I thought it was a cable problem at the campground. I made a direct hookup to the TV bypassing the camper wiring, tv looks great. I connected the tv to my home cable and local (4) stations are clear, all others are too snowy to watch. How can I correct this problem.

It's most likely a bad connection in the cable run from the outside to the inside.

Start by pulling the inside and outside wall plates off and seeing if there's a bad crimp at the F connectors.
If you don't find anything there then while you have the inside plates off look into the wall and see if you can find a splitter. If you do look at the crimped on connectors there and if they're good just replace the splitter.

Did you turn off the antenna booster? If the antenna booster is left on while connected to park cable you'll have the exact problem you're describing.

X3 And also, did you also switch your Tv from "antenna" to "cable" in the Tv's setup menu?

Thanks guys, yes the antenna booster is off, and the tv was set to cable. On the tv cable box inside I pulled all the wires out and I do not see a splitter, I do hav a small circuit board that the cables are attached to.

Have you connected the coax to the TV inside the camper where it threads into the circuit board?

TV issue

It sounds as though you have wiring problem in TT. As far as campground cable, we had been at a lot of them that to put short, they suck. We had a so said tech for campground tell us it was the type of tv we had. Really. Just go to trouble of setting up Sat system.

As a sidebar, I only ever use the RV park's 'cable' (which is usually low quality SD picture) if I don't get any over the air (ie. - roof antenna) stations.
