PM Bob Fields here at the forums. He has been dealing with the Concertone issues. Explain your situation and He'll take it from there.

Our Concertone (690) is just something that fills a rectangular hole in our cabinet! We have a small portable radio that we use and we realy don't watch DVD's. At some point in time (low on list of things to do) I will remove the unit and all the speakers and replace the components with something else.

Is this the same unit they use in their Graywolf line? I will be picking mine up in April and wonder if I am going to have problems.

Not sure what it used in the Graywolf, but this is what we have Concertone® ZX690

We had a concertone in our 2001 Forest River Shamrock, the thing worked until the day we sold it (last spring). The current owner of my old camper still uses the concertone. Not quite sure what is going on Concertone, but most people I go camping with have replaced their concertone systems, including the speakers. The concertone was not a decision maker in buying our RV

Does not look like the unit that was in mine. But, it's like everything else, I will have to keep an eye on everything the first year.

Best advice IMO is just replace it with another brand.

We have the ZX700 in our 2011 Rockwood.......Whats the difference between the ZX-690 and the ZX-700 ?? I dont see the ZX-700 even on there website anymore. I have the manual in my hand it says ZX-700.......whats up ?? Looks like the picture of the ZX-690 above. PS....We havent had any problems except a DVD didnt come out all the way out once....retreved it with a pair of twizers.

Bob Fields has posted the answer to the 690/700 issue in another thread.
One is the "retail version" and the other is the "OEM version."
Otherwise they are identical.

Question from the new guy.

What fits in the opening, or is it like a cra radio, the face plate will help mask the opening. I have a Forrest River SRVS 27 Toy Hauler,

I am blown away that you would have the SAME issue and it certainly does not make me feel any better either!

I have tracked down your serials numbers and investigating the batch...

In the meantime we are running a new unit (from another batch) all weekend (started yesterday morning) and will ship to you on Monday.

SORRY for the inconvenience!
