Using residential refrigerator in freezing temps

We want to use our residential fridge (Whirlpool) on our trip south in January. Will it be harmful if we run it in in freezing temps as we load it to go south? I would imagine it will not not be below freezing in the rv more than 24 to 36 hours. Our hope is to be south of Nashville after one day on the road leaving mid-Michigan. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

What do your refrigerator instructions say? I've owned vacation property in northern Michigan and always left the refrigerator on as we used it a lot in the winter for snowmobiling, many times the power went out and we lost heat. Worst that happened was the Ice Cream was yuckey.

When we built it we installed low point drains in the basement so we never had to deal with frozen pipes.
