Vizio TV won't let me select air vs cable for the TV channels
In my Forester 3051S, when I go into the menu using the tv remote and select channels, it will only allow me to find channels that are digital. It doesn't allow me the option to choose cable or air. I did turn on the antenna booster.

Do you have a manual for the model TV you have? I have a Vizio in mine, but I put it in (it didn't come with my Wildcat). Sometimes we still have to resort to the manual.

Unfortunately, no. We bought it used. On the TV it shows an owner's manual, but you need wifi to get it.

Use your cellphone to download the manual, from Vizio' s website. That's what I did for my used Vizio.

I don't think there is any analog tv stations anymore. Even low power stations must go digital by end of July 2021. Does it find any on digital? Do you have another tv in rig that receives stations?

On newer tv's you don't need to select air or cable. The tuner can handle decoding an attenuating the signal. You will need to scan for channels when you move from park to park.

My HOME SONY TV allows me to select cable or air by just selecting that option, then waiting a second or two...
HOWEVER the RV TV needs me to push the OK (center button) after selecting air or cable, to ACTUALLY select that choice. Threw me for a loop for 10 minutes or more until I figured out that it took ONE MORE button push on my part.

I solved my problem and just disconnected the cable, and rescanned for channels. [emoji4] Even though the park said it had cable channels, there were only 4. We talked to the campground host, and he told us to use the antenna, and now we have 49 channels! Yay!

When buying a Vizio be sure you get one with built-in tuner. We bought a 50" Vizio for our house that didn't have one. The box never said anything about needing a separate tuner, only while reading the papers on how to set it up we found that a separate tuner was needed. We took it back and bought a 60" LG with a built-in tuner for $30 bucks more.

My main tv does not have ability to select air or cable. It automatically scans both. If on air I turn on booster before scanning. If on cable I turn off booster.

Are you saying you're not getting this VIZIO set-up screen?
Also keep in mind that all OTA TV signals are now digital. Analog signals will only show up if your signal is being routed through a signal converter box such as CG's use for CATV distribution
