water heater pigtail?
where is the pigtail hideing? i really hope its not tied up on the left side because there is no way i can crawl back there to get it.

the one that should be plugged into the receptical right next to the heater.it will never heat on electric if its not plugged in!

Is there a inside panel right behind the end of the water heater?
It could be the way you get to the water heater bypass valves.

I can get to the valves,but its a real stretch.I may just have to cut a hole in the inside wall so I can see that side of the heater.

It does.At first I was thinking breaker, or elment burned out because of no water,but then I looked at the stupid stuff and ,sure enough,it isnt even plugged into the single 120v receptical that is right next to it.Power at the outlet,but nothing on the right side comming out to plug into it.The only way I can get to the other side of the heater is to cut a hole in the interior wall.

For aesthetic reasons I would just pull the water heater out.

Bend a coat hanger to hook it and pull it out to where you can get a hold on it and fashion something on a rod to plug it in. Get creative.

I had plans to put a large acess door there anyway so I can use the wasted basement space in back of the heater,so cutting a "peephole" is really not a big deal in the long run,I'm just not ready to do it yet.I cant pull the heater out because the lines go to the left side of the heater,up thru the aft shower wall.I cant reach back there,we know the heater probably went in before the inside wall.They even had a piece of 1/8" paneling screwed to an upper and lower cleat that made the heater instal not even visible.Thats been gone since I re-winterized it last nov.

Do you have the xl package on your Wolfpack. The standard is gas only you need the xl package to get both gas and electric.

Have you tried to mount a mirror on a "pole/handle" for a better look see? I'm all for the easy way to do things.

Yes it has the "XL" package and the "limited " package.Paperwork says we got electric,it has an element,and reset . Just no power cord.

I used my phone camera and flash to find things where I can not see. My motherboard and cord were taped to far side of the heater. My plug in is above it and it was plugged in. I was hunting the board. Used some pillows not to break any water fittings. Wasn't the funniest thing but it sure beat pulling the heater.
