Water Heater Temperature Adjustment

Is there a way to lower the temperature on the water heater in our 2017 Forester 3171? I think she water is dangerously hot for a child.

NO. They are all preset to a certain temperature. The way I regulate the hot water temperature is to turn the hot water faucet on and than regulate the water temperature with the cold water faucet to archive the desired water temperature.
This is the way I have regulated all of my hot water needs in my trailers over the years.

Yes, I believe it is a fixed temp thermostat (130 deg I beleive attached to the outside of the tank) but I have heard there may be a lower temp thermostat from the MFG (Suburban/Atwood etc.). Also an aftermarket may be available.

Search Amazon for Atwood water heater parts. I did today. They have two "adjustable" thermostat for the 110 volt heating system. Just need to identify "which one" is for your heater. $31.00+ !!
