WiFi Ranger Issues

During our first long term trip with our camper we noticed that the WiFi range extender had periodic tantrums. Every once in a while it would start cycling on and off. The only way to fix it is to power the WiFi Ranger off, wait a few seconds and then turn it back on. Has anyone else experienced issues like this?

Blessings,
Andrew

Do you know if it was on 120v or 12v power?

I had issues that I finally had to buy a step up transformer to 24v for mine to work consistently. The support folks at WifiRanger suggested it. Their reason “why” was that “it’s worked for a lot of other people.” I acquiesced and it did work but I wasn’t real happy with the answer.

You might also check to see if new firmware is available.

It is on 12 volt power.

What did you do to step it up to 24 volts?

I have upgrade to version 7.07.

Andrew

DC to DC regulator is what it's apparently called (I now know because I looked up my Amazon order history):

The link came from WFR's support.
