So our new Geo Pro came with a WifiRanger Sky4. I got a bit excited when I saw the option to have it connect to cellular (LTE) networks for connectivity when wifi isn't available, so I ordered a free data SIM on my Google Fi plan.
However, after climbing up on the roof and opening the device I realized that the LTE modem is an option that's not included. It's $200 on the WifiRanger site! No way, for that amount of money I can get better hardware to replace it altogether. From reading on the forums, it's not great as a wifi repeater either.
Are there third party LTE modems that work in the WifiRanger, or am I better for getting a KuWFi or something?
