Winegard G2 plus & Dish System setup

I was helping a fellow camper set up Satellite tv. He has a Windguard G2 Plus and Dish network. We set the G2 on picnic table and ran the coax to the power supply and to the receiver. Was able to tune in and get service. Moved the coax to the trailer hookup on the side of trailer and still had service. Moved the G2 to the back of trailer and never could get it to find satellite. Rebooted the power supply which I was told is the way to get the G2 to search for sats. Could never get it to search. It got dark on us so we quit.
Could the power supply not have enough power to get to the G2 going thru the trailer coax and thru the 25’ of cable supplied by winegard? How do you get the G2 to search to reaquire sats? I tried disconnecting coax from G2 for 10 seconds and plugged back in and nothing. Any other ideas?

These things can be funny. First make sure all the cable connections are good and tight, second ensure the cable connection from the antenna is pointing directly north, third allow a minimum of 10 sec with all power removed from the receiver. fourth click the remote twice to get to the systems page and run the system check complete. These systems are real partial to RG6 cable. good luck
