We just purchased a new 2012 Shasta Revere 29 FMSS and I am trying to get the satellite hooked up of which we use a Winegard Carryout.
The camper came "pre-wired" for over-the-air antenna, shore cable and also for satellite. Exterior is an outlet labeled "cable" that has white coax connected to it and another labeled "satellite" which has a black coax cable attached.
Interior are three areas where tv connections are possible: one in bedroom ceiling with an orange coax connected to it, a second in the living room ceiling with an orange coax connected and the third area is next to the kitchen table where there are two connection possibilities one single connection is connected to white coax and the other connection is the 12v outlet with the antenna booster connection which allows over-the-air.
I have successfully received over-the-air signal with the booster on. I do not have shore cable to try out for connection.
I have received satellite signal when running coax directly from the carry out dish to the receiver box and then to the tv
.
I have been unsuccessful in getting any of the interior wired outlets to allow signal through from the carryout dish to the receiver
.
My questions are:
Does anyone know what the actual tv antenna/cable/satellite wiring layout is for the Shasta models?
Does anyone know the where or why the orange coax cable is connected to/from?
I do not want to have to pull/rewire this camper if I do not have to. Any help will be appreciated
