xm radio will not connect to concertone sound system

We have a 2009 Rockwood 2607 - we never tried to use the xm radio in the trailer because we had it in our truck and also had portable boom box. Now we want to use the XM radio in the trailer, but it will not work. The new one that came with trailer is hard wired in, but will not work - hard wired or with fm signal. We can take it out to the truck and it will work with the xm signal. Any suggestions?

The XM radio is portable? What model?
While you are in the trailer with it, are you certain you have good XM reception? With mine I have to make sure the XM antenna has a real good shot at the satellite. From inside the TT and 5er I had previously, I had to run the antenna cable out a window, but now I can just put it on the dash (usually).

Do you have your concertone set to the correct setting? For example, we need to put ours on Aux2 to get the sound to come through the surround sound.

Our XM is a Delphi. We have tried in several different locations, as we are now on vacation in it. It is hardwired in and I am thinking there must be a connection problem (in the wall). We do not have Aux 2, we have input 1 and input 2 on our Concertone.

It sounds like you might be on the right path thinking you may need to double check all your connections. In cases such as this you must be SURE what goes where and how especially since we are talking about an RV several years old now trying to use a piece of a system that has never been used before.

It would also be good to know what model Concertone you have and that you are ONLY trying user the XM receiver that came with your RV. NOT the one you already have.

Please post or email me the Concertone model you have AND the model of the XM Radio you are trying to use. Pictures are always helpful as well...

Ours needs to be on AU2 to work.

So from your posts I believe you said the you said this unit works in your car but not the RV and also from your posts you indicated that your troubleshooting so far is leading you to believe that you may have a wiring issue.

I would suggest removing the wall plate and zx600 to check all the connections associated with this. ensure the wall plate RCA connectors are plugged INTO the zx600 INPUTS and that the wall plate power & ground are connected as well. You would obviously check the fuse while there as well.

Both the zx600 & wall plate have trims rings that need to be removed to access the screws that hold the systems in place. Once these are removed the units slide out.

We had removed the Delphi, but not the concertone. Might try that when we get home. Thanks for the help.
