Check out
Steam Into History - Steam Train Attraction - York, PA if you'll be in the area. We'll be up and running on June 1st. I'm volunteering to work with the train crew this summer. The Locomotive should be completed by the end of April and two coaches are being built as well. Two other coaches will be leased so the capacity will be 200 passengers on each train. Track work will begin next Monday, replacement of about 6,000 ties. If you click on the link you can see the pictures of the York #17 being built.
The train runs the same route Lincoln took to Gettysburg to give his Gettysburg Address. There will be Civil War reenactors on the train as well telling the story of the rails and the Civil War. It's going to be like nothing else around. Lincoln's Funeral Train passed through the same station along the way back to Illinois.
