Anchor Down ?

I thought I’d get some feedback from members on Anchor Down RV Resort in Dandridge, TN before I plan a stay there since it seems to be a popular campground and generally gets good reviews.

Ok so here goes…Are some sites nicer or more desirable ? Are some to be avoided ? Basically what are your likes and any dislikes if you have any ? Any input would be greatly appreciated Post up any pics if you have them

If you look at their website you'll see some sites come with stone fireplaces, some are right on the water, some are "buddy" sites so it depends on what you're looking for. I have reservations to go there for the first time at the end of July. We booked site 173 which is right on the water and has a fireplace. I booked that site in March of 2018 for a stay in July 2019.

And now we may need to cancel...

I have first time reservations for Thanksgiving 2019. When I looked at the map I wanted a site where I could clearly see the lake but not be too boxed in by other rv's. We booked site 147. It's close to the lake and close to the end of the row of sites. No fire place but a nice wide paved site where my son can ride his bike. Really looking forward to going here and heard noting but good reviews. I imagine if you book a Signature site or a Premium Back in site you can't go wrong.

No sites are to be avoided. They are all nice.

As mentioned, some have fire places, some don't. Some overlook Lake Douglas, some are full sun (not really a tremendous amount of trees anywhere except on the hill) but all are ample room and well maintained.

Pull it up on Google Maps and take a look for yourself.

Well I pulled the trigger on an impromtu Easter Weekend camping trip to Anchor Down was able to get a premium Site #11 which looked pretty nice considering last minute from Friday thru Monday.....I'm a 193 miles away so a relatively short ride

While there I'm going to scope out the resort for for some personally desirable sites for my next visit
