anyone been to Buccaneer State Park, Gulfport MS?

Looking for spots for March 2014, looks like a large state park and campground on the gulf. Trying to get feedback from someone who has actually been.

Thanks

We stayed there last year and thought it was a very nice park. It was totally destroyed during Katrina and they had just rebuilt it when we were there. The sites were nice and the bath houses were very clean, new and modern. There is a short walk to the beach. We only stayed one night and were visiting family, so we didn't really explore the park.

There is a casino close by that has the most wonderful buffet. :-)

I was there once.... drove through part of it during the response and recovery from Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Looked like it could be a very nice place, but I saw it at it's worse.... Glad to see Stonekeeper's comments that it had been rebuilt!

Hey we are going down the end on May to the 1st week of June. I had my buddies go check it out for me, they live in Slidell,La. They said it looks really good and ready to go. Katrina Killed it, but it rose from the ashes.......
