Are the rest stops on I95 open?

Planning to head south on I95 next week. Will be looking for a sleep spot on the way. Anyone know if the highway rest stops have been opened?

I know the ones that are between Jacksonville and Daytona Beach are open. I hope that helps. I believe the rest are open but since I haven't seen them I can not tell you for sure.

Thanks! Any intel is helpful! I’m heading from NJ all the way down to central Florida and I’m guessing places to camp will be sparse.

The rest areas in North Carolina are open. There are 4 on 95, one at each border and 2 others equal distance apart.

Many campgrounds have reopened but it is my understanding that some campgrounds under, state order in South Carolina are not accepting any campers with New York, New Jersey or Connecticut plates.

Maybe someone can clarify as the campground that we are going to in Horry County SC has stated that, but it could be a county thing ?

Came north 5-1/5-4 from Daytona to Roanoke Rapids, NC. All were open. At that time there were no campgrounds open in Va., cannot speak to rest stops. Be safe.

Headed to Myrtle Beach on the Friday. Have NY plates. Figure we are ok since KOA took the reservation. Read this post, and now I'm not sure. DW is waiting for a call back from KOA.

Looks like the the governors executive order 2020-30 rescinded 2020-14 which had the tri-state travel restrictions

Just returned from Fla. All rest stops were open.
Just remember, when you hit the Fla line, there is a covid19 check, when we headed north, we saw the check point line, backed up for miles.

Was just reading about street gangs, Crypts and Bloods in MB and a shootout over the weekend. Place has gone to the dogs.

Memorial Day weekend in Myrtle Beach is "Bikers Weekend". You may not want to by there. Traffic is usually terrible from Thursday before until Tuesday after the weekend.

There are 3 Bike weeks during the year in Myrtle Beach. We have never had issues with any of them. This year maybe less.

The first I95 rest stop in North Carolina , south of the VA state line, is closed for renovations. Next one is MP 145 or so.

It's a temperature check, ask where you are going and they tell you to self quarantine for 14 days.

I drove from tampa to Michigan two weeks ago. no such checkpoint. don't know if bathrooms were open but rest areas were open for parking the whole way home.

Personally I would call the KOA you are booked at directly, not the central reservation number. Hope that helps
