Arkansas to Ft. Wilderness?

We are headed to Orlando in about 6 weeks and trying to decide on a route. Would rather not go through Atlanta. Has anyone taken US-280 from Birmingham to Dawson and then US-82 until it meets up with I-75.

Are you leaving Arkansas and going directly to Orlando, or do you have stops in between?

route

Do not go thru B'ham. I-20 closed from I-20 I-65 interchange east for next two years.

I go down I-65 to Montgomery Then over to Dothan Then south to I-10
If you go the way you are talking about it seems like you will never get out of Georgia.

Drove through Birmingham on the way to Orange Beach from St. Louis. NO WAY I would drive through with a travel trailer. The construction was a nightmare.

We live in Springdale

Good luck on your trip. We are planning a trip to Fort Wilderness in the fall. We would love know which route you guys are going to take. Do you camp at Beaver Lake often?

Will update the route we take when we get home. We go to Beaver Lake mostly for the day since it is only about 15 minutes away.
