Bayley's Camping Resort, Scarborough, ME

Well I must say I am impressed with this facility except for a incident on our second night. It seems that someone does not supervise the recreational activities in the large field towards the rear of the park. Imagine my dismay when I looked up at the skylight in the shower. It seems a large object like a baseball hit it and put a hole in it. I went to the office to enquire what could be done. I was told the General Manager will go to our site to evaluate the damage. Well he was a no show, no call and no care by the staff at the reception center. I guess I will wait till the am to see if there is any customer service. If no response, I guess I will go to a organization meeting of a group I belong to to say we should reconsider the booking of the camp rally for the group of 100 active families. We shall see what happens in the am. I fully understand that the campground is probably not going to do anything but it would be nice if they posted signs not to,play baseball in close proximity of the campers. Sorry about my rant!

We stay at Bailey's every Columbus Day weekend (this will be our 4th year in a row) for their Halloween weekend. Fantastic place to camp and have always had top notch service. It is extremely big and busy so one has to watch in all directions.

Two years ago we wanted to rent a golf cart and they were out for the weekend. With my wife being 8 months pregnant and dealing with the owner, they allowed us to use one of the staff carts for the evening so my wife could participate in following my 3 year old and I around for trick or treating and at no charge.

I was extremely impressed with that so my wife wouldn't miss out. Can't say enough nice things about the place.. especially the adult only pool and bar that was new last year.
