Beverly Beach Camptown Flagler Beach FL

Staying here for a few days after visiting Fort Wilderness. If you love the beach you can't beat it here. Very windy though.Click image for larger version

Nice beach front awning poles help with wind.

We drove by last February and we were not impressed. The sites are so tight that some awnings could not be put out the entire way. At least you have a lot of open spaces around you, which would make it nice. Gamble Rogers is a State Park near by that is much less expensive. The sites there are not paved, however.

I stayed there once nearly 20 years ago. We enjoyed it. Took a motorcycle and went cruising up and down A1A as well.

Beverly Beach is a very nice campground. We usually stay at Gamble Rogers just a little bit south of there. We like the Riverside as opposed to the beachside. That wind you mentioned will bring with it the salt in the air and the spray from the waves which will remind you of your trip to Beverly Beach for years to come in the surface rust that will be on everything that isn't made of glass, aluminum, plastic, fiberglass,or rubber. You are probably seeing some of it by now. A friend of mine thought he wanted the same in Texas, and it wasn't long before he found out otherwise. I've lived on the coast my entire life, salt water 100 feet out my back door. Just make sure you wash it down and wash it off.
