Birmingham to I-10 East

Planning a trip to Fl and have 2 options through Montgomery. Both take 65 to 85. One exits 85 on 231, the other exits on Taylor Rd and the goes to 231. I will be in Motorhome towing a car. I have usually done the Taylor Rd route. Anyone have any idea if one is much better than the other? Thanks!

Definitely take the Taylor road route. When you get south of Dothan, take route 73 to Marianna at I-10. Just a bit of a shortcut.
