Campgrounds around Philadelphia

We will be traveling to Philadelphia area in mid July coming in from the Gettysburg area and I am looking for a campground that allows dogs that can handle a 33'-36' camper. I would like to stay West of the city so when we leave we can get to I-81 easily.

The closest State Park seems to be French Creek State Park. I am not opposed to driving into the city but before making a reservation I was wondering if there is anyplace else to stay during our visit. Thanks in advance.

It's not a campground (more a parking lot with electric + water), but if I was headed into Philly to tourist around a bit, here's where I would stay:

Warwick Woods campground is right near French Creek in Elverson, PA about 50 miles West of Philly its near the PA Turnpike which provides easy access to I-81.

I can't recall the details from 20 years ago, but I think I stayed Brandywine Creek.

The campground was a short drive to a station platform where we used the Commuter train to ride into the city.

Great suggestions all. It amazes me how few campgrounds there are up that way.

I live 15 minutes from French creek. Be sure you make a reservation soon because they have limited sites that allow pets and they are always booked up.
