Camping near Sanibel and Ft Lauderdale in Season

We want to take our 28' Surveyor TT to visit family in Sanibel Island and in Ft. Lauderdale this January and February (2021). We want to spend a week or two near each location. We want full hookups. The problem is that I am hearing the same thing repeatedly: "We have nothing and we never will. The same people come back every year. We don't have a waiting list. It is pretty much the same all over south Florida." (I should point out that they are very nice about it.) So, my question is: Where can we stay? Is it even possible to RV in south Florida during the season without perpetual reservations? All suggestions are welcome. Specific campground names preferred. Thank you!
