Charlotte NC area campgrounds

Anyone have a recommendation on a campground in the Charlotte area. My wife wants to go to a quilt show at the end of July so we thought we might take the trailer and make a long weekend out of it.

Thanks in advance

Not alot of options, I would probably stay at the Tom Johnson RV campground. It is nothing special but is located next to Concord Mills mall which is one of the largest malls in the area as well as numerous race shops, Charlotte Motor Speedway and many resturants. Lake Norman would be about 18 miles away and downtown Charlotte about the same.

I am going to the AQS quilt show also, but I am just going for the day. The traffic is terrible between lake Norman and Charlotte during rush hours.
The Tom Johnson campground is bare bones but ok. There is also a small campground across from Tom Johnson's that is ok.
Check for activities going on at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
