Cherry Stone Campground, Eastern Shore, VA

Anyone have any experience or insight with Cherry Stone Campground along the Eastern shore of VA? Headed there this weekend, and not sure what to expect. Any info would help. Thanks.

It has been about fifteen years since I have been there, so I won't comment on the campground other than to say it was a nice place. However, the nature of the Eastern Shore is such that a few cans of mosquito repellant might well be in order.

I went to look through the campground while staying close by, and they would not let me even look. Don't exactly know what why so secretive. I wouldn't stay there just because, now.

On the other hand, we have neighbors that repeatedly camped there, and I don't think anywhere else. Their kids loved it.....it is geared towards the kids, as I understand it.

So a lot depends on whether you want peace and quiet, or you have kids and want them entertained.
